MARK'S STORY:
On May 20, 2018 local Columbus, Georgia Restaurateur, Mark Jones was involved in a car accident. He was rushed to Piedmont Columbus Regional Hospital where they discovered he suffered a severe spinal cord injury. Surgery was performed to alleviate pressure in hopes that he would regain mobility in his body and extremities. Mark spent 11 days in the hospital with much of that time being in the ICU. Mark then transferred to Shepherd Center in Atlanta where he is undergoing rehabilitation. To date, Mark has gained minor ability to move his right arm and left leg.

After Blue Cross and Blue Shield Insurance Company announced they would no longer support and offer individual coverage in Georgia, the Jones’ were forced to explore a new insurance policy. During the process of seeking a new insurance policy, the accident occurred, leaving Mark uninsured.

The overwhelming expenses are mounting and Mark’s needs, for not only his immediate care but for his extended care are insurmountable. His best hope for complete recovery is continued quality rehabilitation and care. His level of care requires him to need a handicap accessible home, bed, lifts, shower, wheelchair and transportation. These expenses are more than The Jones’ and most people would be able to cover out of pocket. That's why we're asking you to Grub and Give for Mark Jones!
